Meet Maple Fusion,

Maple Fusion, a unique musical group from Alberta, weave a rich tapestry of Canadiana Music and History with a dynamic fusion of Folk, Country, and Celtic traditions. With instruments ranging from fiddles, guitar, mandolin, concertina, accordian, tin whistle, banjolette, spoons, a lively washboard, to props that emerge from their tickle trunk; their performances blend lively entertainment and history seamlessly. Each member brings a unique musical background, ensuring a diverse and harmonious performance.


This energetic group, founded by Shelley K. (a music and oral history collector), showcases their Canadian heritage through music, comedy, and storytelling. Presenting original compositions, researched historical songs, to new Canadian performers covers, their repertoire captivates audiences and ensures an engaging experience on any size stage for any age audience.


Maple Fusions expertise extends also to school, museum, and festival presentations, combining music and dramatic storytelling geared to children and youth.


Their engaging style brings Canadian music and history to life, reliving and creating new and lasting memories. With an active schedule, Maple Fusion performs at festivals, pubs, clubs, libraries, schools, and various private and public events across Alberta. It’s not unusual to see them at open mics and gigs, or performing at large festivals or small intimate settings like kitchen/shed parties and farmers markets. They have a special spot in their heart of performing regularly for adult Special Needs and Senior’s groups.


Their affiliations with the University of Lethbridge Oral History department, and partnering with Norbridge Senior Centre, highlight their commitment to community engagement.
